Legend has it that in Ohrid there were 365 churches dating from the 4th century A.D. and onwards.
The Fortress of Samoil Since the 5th century it is mentioned, by the Roman historians, as a well fortified city with numerous towers, which like the other Roman cities protected itself from the invasion of the wandering tribes.
The present appearance of the fortress is with 18 towers, three of which are semi-circular and 15 square with four great gates.
Kuklica is situated only a few kilometers from the town of Kratovo. When getting nearer to the village, the contours of numerous stone figures can be seen, quiet witnesses of our planet history.
The figures have been created in the past fifty thousand years by natural erosion of the porous volcanic rocks, and tall over 10 m.
Smolarski waterfall

It lays at north side of mountain Belasica on Smolarska river at 500 a.s.l. Total height of the water is 39,5 meters.
From the strenght of the water the "reservoar" under it has dimensions 5 x 11 meters and depth 0,5 - 0,7 meters. It's declared monument of the nature.
Macedonian Stonehenge
In the Kokino by Kumanovo, in the region of Taticev Kamen the only megalithic observatory in the Balkans was discovered.
The Kokino observatory was approximately built about 4.000 years ago.
